Independent site. ArtCraft Review is an unofficial, independent guide. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by ArtCraft, Storyteller.ai, Brandon Thomas, Adobe or Microsoft. We host no files: every download link points to the official site getartcraft.com or the official github.com/storytold organization.
You can download ArtCraft for free from two official places only: the getartcraft.com download page and the GitHub Releases of the storytold organization. This site hosts no installers. Every button below links to the official source.

Option 1: ArtCraft Launcher (recommended)
The official apps page recommends the ArtCraft Launcher: it "installs every app below and keeps them all up to date." According to the craft-launcher README, it picks the right download for your OS and CPU (DMG, MSI, AppImage, .deb, .rpm and more), checks it against the release's SHA-256 checksums, and installs it. On November 1, 2026 the latest launcher release on GitHub was v0.12.0. The launcher is itself labeled early alpha.
Windows launcher files (from the README)
| File | For |
|---|---|
artcraft-launcher-…-windows-x64.msi | Most PCs (Intel/AMD 64-bit). Installs for the current user, no admin rights needed |
artcraft-launcher-…-windows-arm64.msi | Windows on Arm (Snapdragon) |
artcraft-launcher-…-windows-x86.msi | 32-bit Windows |
…-portable.zip | No install: unzip and run |
Option 2: Download a single app
Each app has its own page on getartcraft.com and its own GitHub Releases. For example, the PhotoCraft README says installers for macOS, Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and the web are attached to each release, with Windows x64, arm64 and x86 MSI installers plus portable ZIPs. On November 1, 2026 the latest PhotoCraft release was v0.18.0.

Option 3: Use it in the browser
The official site says PhotoCraft, VectorCraft, LightCraft, PdfCraft, EffectCraft, DesignCraft, FigCraft, WordCraft, SoundCraft, DeckCraft, CADCraft, GridCraft and Craft Anything also compile to WebAssembly and run in a browser tab. ArtCraft Studio (the AI app) runs at app.getartcraft.com.
How to verify your download (SHA-256)
Every release includes a SHA256SUMS.txt file. Download it from the same official release as your installer, then compare:
- Windows (PowerShell):
Get-FileHash .\photocraft-0.18.0-windows-x64.msi -Algorithm SHA256 - macOS:
shasum -a 256 photocraft-…dmg - Linux:
sha256sum photocraft-…AppImage
The hash must match the line for that file exactly. If it doesn't, delete the file. More checks are in Is ArtCraft safe?
System requirements
The launcher README lists Windows 10 and 11, and the apps ship for macOS and Linux too. Creative Bloq reported that each app is light, up to about 50 MB. The project hasn't published detailed minimum hardware specs on the pages we checked, so we won't guess.
Avoid fake "ArtCraft download" sites
Because the name is trending, look-alike downloaders, "installers" and "cracked" versions have appeared. The apps are free, so there is nothing to crack. Also, other unrelated apps in app stores use names like "PhotoCraft". If a file does not come from getartcraft.com or github.com/storytold/…, don't run it.
Frequently asked questions
Where can I download ArtCraft?
Only from getartcraft.com/download or the GitHub Releases under github.com/storytold, for example storytold/craft-launcher or storytold/photocraft.
Is the ArtCraft download free?
Yes. The Crafting Apps and the ArtCraft Launcher are free to download, with no account needed according to Creative Bloq's hands-on test.
What is the ArtCraft Launcher?
An official installer that installs all Crafting Apps, picks the right build for your OS and CPU, verifies SHA-256 checksums, and keeps the apps up to date.
Does ArtCraft work on Mac and Linux?
Yes. Official builds are provided for macOS, Windows and Linux, and some apps also have FreeBSD builds.
Why does Windows say 'Windows protected your PC'?
SmartScreen can warn about new files with few downloads. Make sure the file came from the official GitHub release and its SHA-256 matches SHA256SUMS.txt before choosing to run it.
Is there an ArtCraft mobile app?
We found no official iOS or Android app on getartcraft.com. Most apps can run in a browser, but apps in mobile stores named 'PhotoCraft' or similar are not the ArtCraft project.
